The Alto Beni region is located in the department of La Paz and is around 60 km from Lake Titicaca, the largest lake in South America with an area of 8,288 m². Favored by its climatic influence - the lake represents a large heat store - the cocoa beans ripen here under optimal conditions. The cooperative includes 69 cocoa farmers, the beans from this region are limited due to the small structures.
CHARACTER: This dark chocolate impresses with an earthy, malty flavor profile. The connoisseur will notice subtle notes of blueberry and walnut.
The Alto Beni 75% variety was the only Bean to Bar chocolate to win the INTERNATIONAL CHOCOLATE AWARD 2018 in silver and in 2017 at the "Great Taste Award" in London
