Wonderfully substantial on the palate - lots of dark fruit such as currants, blackberries, pickled black herb olives, lots of spice, subtle smoky notes, some coffee - chocolate praline with cherry liqueur filling, some fruit compote, hint of tobacco. Juicy, elegant, ripe cherries, ripe tannins, mineral and persistent, fine, spicy finish. Aging: 24 months in new small oak barrels. Alcohol 14% vol., dry.
