First documented in 1659, over 147 synonyms are in circulation today according to the "Vitis International Variety Catalogue". In Germany, as Silvaner, this variety is given a little more attention than in Austria.
An autochthonous example.
Soft and full of elegance. Delicate pear and quince aromas, always lively and stimulating on the palate.
