Red is the color of the jalapeño. And because we deseed the fresh pods by hand before processing, this chilli paste is cherry red through and through. But it has nothing to do with cherries, except that it tastes very fruity and is only medium hot. For some, it's still the pinnacle of heat, but it's definitely the mildest in our range. But tastes are known to differ. And that's just as well! The jalapeño chili paste is suitable for the snack table and has been tried and tested in cooking pots - it's best to just try it out.
